UK Connected Futures Festival

26 March

Free

Explore, debate and imagine our connected future.

Join the University of Bristol and its partners in REASON, JOINER and EPSRC Federated Hubs to learn and discover what our future connected world can enable.

While 6G is in early-stage development, the UK is already leading the way with a national 6G experimentation platform, serving projects and innovation hubs funded by EPSRC and the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology. This event will provide a portal into what our connected world could look like by 2035, with talks from experts, insights from the latest research, and live public trials of different emerging applications. This event is open to everyone from industry, academia, government and the general public. From an exciting conference line-up debating what a connected future will look like, to demonstrations of what 6G can enable ranging from 3D holograms to haptic robots, this event will have something for everyone.

This inclusive and interactive festival will feature:

  • Live demonstrations and storytelling visuals showcasing the exciting potential of 6G technologies.
  • Innovative use cases like wireless volumetric video, autonomous factories, and teleoperation demos with LUMA, a 10-meter soft robot!
  • Immersive experiences, such as AI-powered tortoises exploring Bristol and engaging metaverse displays.
  • A chance to meet academics, industry leaders, government representatives, and the public to discuss the transformative power of connectivity.

Join us on 26th March 2025 to imagine a connected future in 2035 and see what you think.
