University of Oxford Talk

28 January

Free

Dr. Shadi Moazzeni will present the REASON project, focusing on research on orchestration, profiling, and the Internet Scale Metaverse UC.

Title of talk: Intelligent Service Orchestration & Delivery for AI-Native 6G Networks: Developments & Next-Gen Solutions.

Location: Room LR8, Ground Floor, Information Engineering Building (IEB).

Abstract:
This talk will present next generation intelligent service orchestrators for AI-native 6G networks. First, a highlight overview on the UK funded Project REASON under the FONRC sponsored DSIT will be presented which focuses on realising emerging architectures and solutions for open networks. A subset of the REASON project’s key targets will be presented including end-to-end open architectures for future mobile networks, multi access technologies, edge intelligence, and multi-access intelligent control, and last but not least, its end-to-end intelligence and cognitive multi-domain orchestration empowered by monitoring and AI-native networks. The second topic will be the development of advanced multi-objective profiling techniques and federated analytics to optimise service function chain orchestration while preserving privacy. The last topic to be covered is the 6G support for cross-domain Volumetric Video Production applications and Internet Scale Metaverse use cases. We will mainly focus on AI-driven multi-access wireless technologies, intelligent next generation service orchestrators, and edge computing technologies for facilitating emerging cross-domain video applications which are being developed by ongoing research and innovation projects.

Bio:
Dr. Shadi Moazzeni is a Lecturer in Networks at the University of Bristol and a member of the Smart Internet Lab and Bristol Digital Futures Institute. She is the PI of the Innovate-UK-funded nCOMM+ project. She also collaborates on UK projects like TITAN, UKTIN and the WP5 deputy leader in the REASON project. She was also the Bristol cluster leader of the EU Horizon 5G-VICTORI project. Her expertise centres on AI-Native 6G networks and intelligent network orchestration, multi-access wireless network for VVPs, and 6G intelligent profiling to advance zero-touch network and service management.
